January in Lake Worth: 3 Must-Do Activities

Just because it’s January in Florida doesn’t mean the whole town of Lake Worth has to settle in for winter. There are still so many things to do in our city even though it’s chilly outside. Let’s talk about three of our favorite things to do in Lake Worth during the month of January!

Martin Luther King Jr. March

As the new year begins, our appreciation of history sort of reawakens again. This history journey that Lake Worth celebrates starts with the Martin Luther King, Jr. March hosted by the City of Lake Worth itself. This march honors the late Dr. King and all he did for civil rights in the United States. This year marks 20 years of celebrating Dr. King in Lake Worth, and sources state the event will be over two days.

The Cottages of Lake Worth Home Tour

Although there are often regular home tours in Lake Worth at The Cottages, you’ve got to check out this year’s Home Tour entitled “Living Large in Small Spaces.” It’s supposed to be great. However, tickets sell out fast. So, if you can’t get one before the tour, there are self-guided options for the outsides of the cottages.

Lake Worth Playhouse

The playhouse never disappoints. This option is for any kind of audience, as the playhouse is often showing several different productions. Just this month alone, the theater is showing Oscar-Nominated Short Films and at the same time a male singing group called The Crests. Have we made it clear yet that there’s something for everyone at the Lake Worth Playhouse?

Whatever you choose to go with this month, at least you have options! That’s one of the great things about Lake Worth. We don’t lack in fun and festivals; at least, that’s what we at General Plumbing think! (561) 771-0086.
