How Does Trenchless Pipe Lining Work?

We use PVC-coated polyester felt liner that is saturated with a two-part epoxy resin. The liner is then inverted inside out, allowing the new liner to bond and seal to the existing drainage piping. The newly lined piping is now seamless throughout the piping that was just lined. Branch piping that connects to this lined piping is then reinstated with the use of the Picote cutting system.

When to Use Trenchless Technology

Trenchless pipe lining does not require major digging but still fixes the issues you are having with your sewer piping or other drainage piping. Traditional repair will require floors of the home or office to be cut open the entire length of the piping for removal and replacement. Then comes the cost of replacing the concrete, flooring, and drywall. In most cases, for trenchless pipe lining, a small area around the outside cleanout will be excavated for an access point of the liner. Call for one of our service experts to find out if trenchless pipe lining is right for you.

Our expert plumbers can employ the Trenchless Lateral Lining System to access your pipes and resolve:

  • Failing drainage piping due to age
  • Tree root intrusion
  • Water infiltration
  • Persistent backups
  • Leaking sewer lines
  • Broken or cracked lines

In some cases, we may need to replace the pipe completely. In others, we can re-line the system to avoid removing the piping. As a certified trenchless pipe lining installer, we can offer the manufacturer’s 50-year material warranty on your lining, which not only ensures your system will last but also gives you peace of mind.

Why Should You Go Trenchless?

Our service specialists at General Plumbing and Air Conditioning utilize Trenchless Pipe Lining Systems to eliminate roots and infiltration, repair cracked or broken pipes, and bridge missing pipe sections without extensive excavation faster and more affordably than traditional pipe replacement. The Trenchless Pipe Lining System is an alternative to digging and replacing troubled drainage piping. This system lines the existing pipes with a PVC-coated polyester needle-felt tube filled with epoxy resin, which bonds with and seals the pipes. Most Trenchless pipe lining projects can take two to three days depending on the amount of piping to line. In some cases, the lining can be completed in one day.
